About the Role

A Video Editor transforms raw video footage into polished content for marketing, social media, or commercial purposes. This role involves video cutting, adding effects, syncing audio, and creating compelling visual stories that engage audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit raw video footage into polished final products
  • Add music, sound effects, and voiceovers
  • Create smooth transitions and visual effects
  • Color correct and grade footage for consistency
  • Export videos in various formats for different platforms
  • Organize and maintain video asset libraries
  • Collaborate with clients on revisions and feedback

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing skills
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression
  • Creative storytelling abilities
  • Strong sense of pacing and timing
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Basic motion graphics skills preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Technical Requirements

  • High-performance computer for video editing
  • Minimum 16GB RAM (32GB recommended)
  • High-speed internet for large file transfers
  • Color-calibrated monitor recommended
  • External hard drives for storage
